When I found out I was pregnant with my daughter, I had some high hopes. Matching outfits. Taking her to get her ears pierced. Painting our nails together. Braiding her hair while we watched Full House reruns. You know
And some of those things definitely came true. She’s a HUGE fan of Uncle Jesse, painted nails, and matching hoodies. She’s only four and begging for the day I’ll let her pick out her first earrings. And, she has hair! The brushing part? Not so much what I had in mind.
You see, my daughter is a free spirit, and so is her hair. She’s wild and untameable. And so is her hair. She goes where she pleases. And so does her hair. Brushing it? Less bonding and more torture. For both of us. And after trying every leave-in-conditioner and detangler on market, we finally found the solution with the Beauty From Bees Lavender and Tea Tree Leave In Conditioner.
This spray is as naturally-derived as you expect all your Beauty From Bees products to be, and it works! It leaves my wild-child’s hair looking like she didn’t just stick a fork in a socket, and really helps to bring out her natural curls, (which she hates. Because apparently “princesses don’t have scribbly hair…”) and leaves her hair soft, less frizzy, and manageable. Manageable, as in the brush slides through it without the neighbours peeking through their curtains. I love it on my own hair also, to help tame the static, and repair the damage my permanent mom-bun does.
This spray is made in some amazing sounding scents (hello Orange & Vanilla and Lavender and Vanilla!), as well as unscented, but our favourite is the Lavender and Tea Tree. Why? Well, Lavender is great for soothing and calming, which my girl seems to need when it’s hair brushing time, and tea tree oil is my school-days MUST HAVE. Studies have shown that lice aren’t a fan, and I’m not actually a huge fan of lice. At all. So, if I can spritz the strands with conditioning, detangling magic, and also help to repel lice, well I’m in. All in. Douse the whole fam, in.
Tamer hair, discouraged bugs, and fewer window-shattering shrieks. It’s basically a summary of all of my mom goals in one delightful spray.
