Everyone’s always telling me about the importance of exfoliating. For me, it’s up there with flossing my teeth, on the list of things I’m told I should do, and then put aside until I panic remember the week before a big event where I want to look my best. Because why? Why is it so important to scrub off that top layer? Is there really magic underneath?
Actually, there kind of is.
Exfoliating scrubs away the top, dead, dull layer of skin - taking with it all those nasty impurities and gunk you’ve got clogging up your face. It leaves your skin brighter, cleaner, and looking youthful and glowing. And since you’ve taken off that dead layer, exfoliating actually makes all your other products work better. They absorb easier and more thoroughly, getting you the most out of whatever else you’re using!
The Beauty From Bees Vitamin C Exfoliate is my go-to exfoliant for a lot of reasons! I love that it can be used on its own mixed with water, or added to a cream cleanser to create an instant exfoliating wash! I add mine to my Vitamin C Face Cleanser every night (that I remember!), and it’s an easy and effective way to get rid of all that grease, sunscreen and makeup build up, and general gunk that comes with momming hard all day.
This exfoliant is hands down the most fun I’ve ever had washing my face, and I’m not even kidding. It starts as a white, gritty powder, but on contact with water, it’s an instant party in your palm. Remember baking soda and vinegar volcanoes? Like that. But a volcano of beauty. Take that Fizzy pile of joy, give your face a scrub, and you’re instantly feeling clean and looking great! That added boost of Vitamin C is a great bonus, especially in the summer when the sun is really shooting down those harmful rays!
Beauty routines don’t have to be complicated. Adding this fizz to my cleanser doesn’t add any extra time to my bedtime routine, but it gives me instant, noticeable results that are absolutely worth the 3 seconds it takes me to tap some product in my cleanser. Follow that with a quick spritz of Face Spritz and some Face Oil, and glowing skin is all that’s left!
Drink your water.
Get enough sleep.
Exfoliate.
And floss if you’ve got to go to the dentist this week.
Who said beauty has to be so complex?
