Now That's a Bright Idea!

Let's talk fall. When I think of fall, I think cozy sweaters, hot drinks, falling leaves, and candles. There's just something about cooler weather that just has me itching to find my matches and strike up a flame in every room of the house. I've got candles in the kitchen, the bathroom, the bedroom. I'm basically going full Little House on the Prairie, but with wifi and espresso.

Candles, as much as I love them, as most definitely not all created equal. There's the cheap, little tealights you use to light your pumpkin, and the horrifically scented ones that are sold for a buck at the dollar store. There are tall ones and small ones, and ones with prizes hidden inside. Candles, like Bubble Baths, come in all varieties, smells, and sizes. And if you don't do your reading, that can be a bit of a problem!

We all know that what we spray into the air gets inhaled into our bodies, but do we really know what it is in many of those candles that gives it its scent? Chances are, we don't. And even if it's labelled as natural, that doesn't mean that the ingredients used to create the scent are actually great for burning! So when Beauty From Bees announced this new Candle, I was thrilled to read that it had nothing in it but pure, natural Beeswax!

Why unscented? As much as I love a gorgeously scented room, I prefer to spray our essential oils into the air with room sprays and diffuser blends! Burning essential oils can actually be harmful to your health, so I prefer my candles to be naturally unscented. The clean burn, self-trimming wick in this candle is also made with only thin, paper fibres, and is both metal and lead free, so I know there's nothing being spread into the air while I enjoy the gentle glow!

Made with 100% pure beeswax, these candles are also made for more than just aesthetics! Beeswax is naturally known to produce negative ions when burned. These negative ions attach to the positive ions (like dust, pollen, mold, odours, and toxins) floating in the air, effectively cleaning the air while it burns! So basically, you're cleaning your home while burning a delightful candle. Tell me that's not a win-win.

Winter might be coming, and the days might be getting shorter and shorter, but for me, that's just one more excuse to find ways to be cozy, and this candle is definitely on that list!
