Get Your Detox On!

Get Your Detox On!

I like to think I live a pretty healthy lifestyle. I drink my water. I eat my veggies. I move around every once in a while. But when people start talking to me about doing a detox, I get a little...lazy. You see, I’m more of a low maintenance kind of crunchy mama. Like granola that’s been soaking for a little too long. The healthy intentions are there, but I also like to sprinkle a little brown sugar on top. So, when I found out I could detox my body while laying in the bath, I was way on board.

The Beauty From Bees Ultimate Bath Blend is as simple as it is effective. With an ingredient list that has been specially formulated to be purposeful, and without any of those weird fillers, scents or colours I don’t especially want to marinate my body in, this soak knows exactly what it’s doing.

What’s in it? Four ingredients. That’s it. Here’s why!

Magnesium Sulfate - this is more commonly called epsom salt, and you’ll find it in a lot of different bath products. It naturally sedates your nervous system (read: relaxes you!), and draws unwanted toxins out of your body, while providing you with a boost of magnesium that so many of us are deficient in.

Sodium Chloride (Himalayan Pink Salt) - these are the pink bits you’ll see in each bottle. Their job is to further detoxify your body, deep cleanse your body, and leave your skin feeling nourished and refreshed.

Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) - vitamin C has HUGE benefits for your body, inside and out. In your bath, vitamin C helps to neutralize the chlorine that your municipality uses to treat your water. Read more about the awesome benefits of Vitamin C in your skincare here!

Aluminum Free Baking Soda - when my kids were small and their skin flared up, I’d add baking soda to their baths all the time. It soothed their eczema and diaper rashes. The same applies to your adult skin! Baking soda is known to detoxify your body, relieve sore muscles, and soothe a huge list of skin ailments.

So, the next time someone suggest you embark on one of those scary sounding detoxes with them, just smile, light a candle, and let them know that your bath has got you covered.
